Making Crucial Make-or-Brake Decisions in Consumer Internet Startups

“Making Crucial Make-or-Brake Decisions in Consumer Internet Startups”

Date: Wednesday, February 28
Time: 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Location: Kresge Auditorium, Stanford University

Five real-world interactive mini-case studies taught by LinkedIn’s
co-founder and jaxtr CEO Konstantin Guericke:

1. Selecting the positioning
2. Company launch
3. Viral marketing
4. Advanced viral marketing
5. Choosing the revenue lines

Konstantin was the Head TA for Advanced Decision Analysis while
studying organizational behavior and innovation at Stanford in the
late 80’s and early 90’s. He has been working in startups ever since.
He will present five real-world situations he faced at LinkedIn and
jaxtr and discuss the framework for decision-making as well as invite
the audience to weigh in with considerations and opinions. He will
then explain what emerged as the crucial factors, what decision was
made and how it looks now knowing how it played out. There will be
significant time for general startup Q&A at the end.
