The Singularity

If you want to stretch your brain a little and contemplate the possible future of mankind, given the advances in technology towards ‘intelligent machines’, then you might enjoy reading this paper that was published in the Winter 1993 issue of Whole Earth Review.

Will we see the ‘end of the human era’ by 2030? What are the consequences when greater-than-human intelligence drives future progress? Is this the natural progression of evolution?
